I keep going on about this but I gotta say it one more time: Dragon Age: Origins. OMGZ it's so much fun!! It's like the good old days of Baldur's Gate and Planescape: Torment. Which reminds me, I can't find my copy of Planescape: Torment anywhere and it's driving me crazy. I miss that game. So beautifully crafted... the atmosphere, the writing, all superb. I've been sorting out my games collection, and loads of stuff is missing. Sadz.

But yeah, if you like the old AD&D style of gaming, go grab a copy of Dragon Age.

Underground, Monster, Cin Song, Be There When You Wake, and Munchausen Syndrome are all from the new recordings :)

Monster is the one I'm most happy with I think. The vocals were done in just one take (first take of the session!) so they're very rough and a bit rubbish in some places, but I think I like it that way (for the moment at least).

And Underground is about folks not believing in dinosaurs :)

We played live on the radio (94.9 Joy FM) yesterday! We also did an interview and chose some songs to play (I played "I Go Humble" :D), and it was totally rad! The interviewer (Jenny) is a super lovely lady and we were really nervous, but it was very fun. I'd love to do more radio stuff now.

...you should be able to download the podcast of it at some point, I think. We played a live track (Munchousen Syndrome) and I had a really sore throat from going out too much lately, so it was a bit rough... plus we are all shy and lame, but otherwise I'm excited to have people listening :)

This Thursday we're playing a gig at the Empress; the first gig we've done with our drummer. I can't wait. The drummer is awesome, we've been working pretty hard... I'm so exhausted that I'm losing my voice but that doesn't even matter, I'm just excited to be playing again. I think there'll be a good turn out, too. Peeps! I wasn't sure if I showed you guys this - our tiny little write-up from Inpress a while ago. :) Lame, but fun.



Last night's gig at Revolver was ROCKIN'! So many people came (and a huge thank you to all who did). The atmosphere was so cosy and fun. I <3 Revolver. Superb sound system. We have new songs and I think everyone liked them :) lots of people - including the bar staff - asked for CDs and wanted to know when we were playing next!

My boss came to the gig too, and she really liked it I think... I have the coolest boss ever.

We're still recording at home. Going swimmingly :)

!!!!! My proposals were all accepted!! I'm gonna be published! HOORAY FOR ZOMBOLETTE! :D I'm so pumped *blush*.

But! Now I have the mind-numbing task of hunting down old originals and re-scanning/re-drawing/re-sizing to the right specifications. I was stupid and didn't save the big scans before I scaled them down for the site. And I can't find half of the originals T_T sadz.

I've pretty much finished 15 pages. The first book will be 28 pages.

...Will anyone buy a signed copy when it's out? :)

Get this! Last night, driving all the way home from OLINDA (that's about an hour), I didn't have to stop the car at ONE SINGLE RED LIGHT!! :D ...I have this awesome trick; if I see a red light coming up I drive mega slow so by the time I get there, it's green and I never have to stop! Everyone behind my car hates me! :D

OK, SO! Last night, Josh & I were playing a really fun game of "Guess Which Insect I'm Most Like" (you can already tell this story is gonna be amazing). I guessed Josh was a praying mantis and he was all "OMGWTF that's what I was thinking too!"!! BUT THEN, to make things EVEN MORE AMAZING ('sif they even could be!!), he was all "Ok so which insect am i LEAST like?" and I was all "A slater bug?" and he was all "ZING! Actually I was thinking of a butcher boy," and I was all "OMGZ that's actually the same thing practically, doofus!!" :O It was the most amazing thing EVER.

SO IN SUMMARY: I guessed the bug Josh thought he was most and least like on the first go! In most countries this means we have to get married.

The gig on Thursday went pretty well! It was a short set, though.

Dale took some gorgeous photos (as did Maddie - I'll post them when I steal them from her perhaps!). Dale's deviantart site is HERE. :)

The funnest part was afterwards when Danny and Josh got up and had a jam just for fun. I sang "Glory Box" and one of the Shirtless Guitar guys got up and sang it with me - he is lovely. :) Fun night all round!

Speaking of whom, the J-dogg bought me a scanner/printer/fax megacombo for my birthday!!!! He doesn't even read my LJ, he just knew through magical brain osmosis. Or maybe it was cos I kept going on about how bad I wanted one? GOD ONLY KNOWS! Gee but he is lovely.

Anyway, scanner = ZOMBOLETTE! I have about three comics ready to go!

I miss having free time to draw. I miss making Zombolette. :( Anyone want to donate a scanner + printer combo, a couple of big screens, photoshop, illustrator, and a year or two's worth of broadband? Or even eternal broadband, like they had in biblical times??

I want to do a weekly Zombolette! Or at least a Zombofortnight, to start with...
